Welcome back to Noble Linguistics. In Part 1 and Part 2 we learned 15 basic greeting words. Today in Part 3 we will learn 5 more very important daily use words. These words will help you to speak like a native speaker.

✒️Many Tamil students ask me "Sir, how many words do I need to start conversation?" Experts and linguists say that if you know just 120 to 150 words, you can handle 80% of daily conversation in any foreign language. That is why our goal in this blog is to reach 120 words step by step.

✒️Rule to Remember: Spend only 15 minutes per day. Learn 5 words daily. Revise them 3 times. Within 1 month you will know 150+ words. This is the secret of fast language learning.

✒️In this post we will learn 5 words: Perdón, Sorprendido, Feliz, Contento, Disfruta. I will give you Spanish word, Tamil pronunciation, English meaning, Tamil meaning and one real life example sentence. So you will not forget.

✒️So, Dear Learners, Now we are in a stage to building vocabulary in words formation not in sentence formation. So, now our priority is to learn at least 120 to 150 words in a phase manner, then we will start to learn on sentence formation. But in between I am planning to start short sentence. So, wait for some time, already we were learned 15 words. Now today I have given 5 words altogether 20 words. Memorize those 20 words until registering in the mind.

16.) Perdon (பெஹ்ர்டொஹ்ன்) = Sorry (It is பெஹ்ர்டொஹ்ன் don't pronounce as பெர்டன், further the word is used Immediately that the act of fault committed by the person and it is differ from Lo siento and Disculpe) = மன்னிக்கவும்.

17.) Sorprendido (சொஹ்ர்ப்ரெஹ்ண்டீடொஹ்) = (This word should be pronounced as சொஹ்ர்ப்ரெஹ்ண்டீடொஹ் not as சொர்ப்ரெண்டீடொ)Surprised = ஆச்சரியம்.

18.) Feliz (ஃபெலிஸ்) = (This word should be pronounced as ஃபெலிஸ் but the Spanish pronounced as  ஃபெலீத் and the Latin Americans pronounced as  ஃபெலிஸ்)  Happy = மகிழ்ச்சி.

19.)Contento (கொஹ்ண்டெஹ்ண்டொஹ்) (Normally this word is used by the native speakers and the same should be pronounced as கொஹ்ண்டெஹ்ண்டொஹ் not as கொண்டெண்டொ) = Joy or Happy = சந்தோஷம்.

20.) Disfruta (டீஸ்ஃப்ரூடாஹ்) (The word should be pronounced as டீஸ்ஃப்ரூடாஹ் not as டீஸ்ஃப்ரூடா) = Enjoy = அனுபவி.

Meaning: Varaverkiren / Welcome. Idhula 4 forms irukku:

- Bienvenido - single male

- Bienvenida - single female (Tamil ponnukku)

- Bienvenidos - mixed group or males

- Bienvenidas - only females group

Example: ¡Bienvenidos a mi casa!

4. Mi casa es su casa [Mi ka-sa es su ka-sa]*
Meaning: En veedu un veedu maadhiri. Enathu veedu ungal veedu. Tamil: எனது வீடு உங்கள் வீடு. Guest-a welcome panra periya mariyadhai word idhu. Su = formal, Tu = informal (friend kitta Mi casa es tu casa).

5. ¿De dónde eres? [De don-de e-res]*
Meaning: Neenga enga irunthu varinga? Tamil: நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்து வருகிறீர்கள்? Young friends kitta ithu. Periyavanga kitta: ¿De dónde es usted? Reply: Soy de Chennai, soy de India.

6. ¿Cómo te llamas? [Ko-mo te ya-mas]
Meaning: Un peru enna? Tamil: உன் பெயர் என்ன? Literal meaning - What do you call yourself? Formal: ¿Cómo se llama usted? Reply: Me llamo Arjun / Mi nombre es Arjun.

7. ¿Aló? / ¿Bueno? / ¿Diga?
Phone greetings da! Tamil la Hello nu solrom la, Spanish la country-ku yetha maari maarum. Spain la Diga, Mexico la Bueno, South America la Alo soluvanga.

Cultural Tip:  

Spanish la greeting kettapiragu "How are you" ketkalana mariyadhai illa. So always ask ¿Y tu? (and you?).
